It is one of the attractions of the area and is located in the heart of the village in an area called “La Sarra”, just few steps from Piazza Risorgimento.
The Granit rock, known by locals as “Monti Incappiddhatu”,(i.e. mountain with a hat), over the years has taken the form of a very large porcino mushroom. From its top you can enjoy a wonderful view over Arzachena and the surrounding valleys.
Over time the wind and rain erosions shaped the granite formation in a completely original way, making it a site of great geological and touristic interest.
The monument was susceptible to excavation in 1959, which showed its origin of the Neolithic time, and during the Nuraghic period, as under-rock shelter.
